Stone Temple Pilots & Saxon at Big Night Out

Alternative rock band Stone Temple Pilots is set to perform in Singapore alongside guitar legend Slash. Both Slash and Stone Temple Pilots will be headlining the third annual Big Night Out organised by LAMC Productions on March 11 and 12 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Support acts include British heavy metal act Saxon and Twenty Two Hundred. Big Night Out 2011 will be the first time that the much anticipated annual concert series will be stretched to two nights. Previous concerts featured the likes of Muse, Rise Against, Saosin, The Prodigy and The Ting Tings. According to LAMC, more news will be announced over the coming weeks. Tickets $98-168 will go on sale from January 3 at Sistic.

Slash Live In Malaysia

Legendary Rock n’ Roll guitarist Slash is coming to Kuala Lumpur this August on a world tour promoting his latest effort, a self-titled solo album with a list of featured artists that reads like a who’s-who in the world of rock.

As of right now, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia are the only confirmed dates in the region before he flies off to Japan to continue the tour, but rumors are going around that the organizers are leaving an open end for the possibility of slotting in more shows in the region!

Keep those fingers crossed, cause I know I am!

Firefly recently held a press conference at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, the official hotel for this event and has confirmed the official details of the concert for Malaysia!

Few artists in rock ‘n’ roll can carry off a single name, and carry it with gravitas. That is except Slash. And few guitarists command as much respect as Slash.

The original member of Guns N’ Roses and one of hard rock’s finest guitarists is set to rock Singapore for the very first time on August 2, 2010 at Fort Canning Park!

Slash is touring in support of his highly acclaimed recently released solo self titled debut album. Slash’s touring band includes Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy (vocals), Bobby Schneck (guitar), Todd Kerns (bass) and Brent Fitz (drums).
